Elizabeth Keir is a recent graduate and current first year medical student at the University of Queensland. She conducted her Undergraduate in the Bachelor of Advanced Science Honours program, majoring in Biomedical Science. Elizabeth finished her honours year with the University of Queensland's Thoracic Research Centre at The Prince Charles Hospital in 2022, investigating the differential expressions of miRNAs in plasma and plasma extracellular vesicles to predict nodal metastasis in Non-small cell lung cancer. She also has a keen interest in other sources and types of biomarkers that could be utilised for clinical diagnosis and prognosis.
